This event was born from an initial desire to support a diverse range of contemporary arts practice by providing artists working in a wide range of disciplines and media the freedom of presenting and performing outside of their studios. We aim to bring together and promote interests in contemporary art, experimental electronic and unplugged music, performance and interaction for the duration of the evening. In this relaxed atypical setting the artists and musicians can move away from the established conventions within art presentation and performance resulting in unique responses to the project. Thus allowing them to enter into critical dialogue about their artistic practice and forging new networks.

Throughout the evening, artists, non-artists, students and anyone within ear-shot exchanged a wealth of knowledge, inspirational material and sources of fascination. Music and film were the most prevalent examples, but conversation was the key to the evening's success; concentrating less on their own work, the various artists present waxed lyrical about that which had acted as inspiration, informing their own practice.
