…is a member of Contents May Vary, the Manchester based artist collective. For startrunning, Bradshaw intends to create a sense of curiosity through the manipulation of mundane objects and materials. Mass-produced, anonymous objects are often rendered dysfunctional caricatures of themselves. By using animation and limited edition objects to blur distinctions between the absurd and the mundane, the artist is creating or accentuating subtleties, whilst addressing concepts of purpose and futility. Bradshaw holds the belief that the environment in which a work exists becomes integral to the work itself. Consequently, the work made has become site-responsive, exploring ideas of locality and displacement.
